We were the first California firm to focus on defending lawyers and judges. We have represented judges, law firms and individual lawyers in literally thousands of cases. We have tried more than fifty legal malpractice cases to jury verdict. Our appellate advocacy on behalf of lawyers has yielded more than thirty published opinions. Today, we bring to each new case a strategic perspective based on unparalleled experience.
We have more experience defending lawyers at trial than any other California firm. Our clients range from the largest firms in the world to solo practitioners. We have experience defending California lawyers in virtually every substantive practice area.
Long & Levit has represented trial and appellate court judges throughout the state in dozens of proceedings before the Commission on Judicial Performance. We are knowledgeable about the Commission’s procedures and policies and understand its focus and objectives. We also understand the importance of discretion and diplomacy in handling these often sensitive matters.
To preserve its clients’ confidentiality, Long & Levit does not volunteer names of clients nor does it submit summaries of trials to jury services. We will, however, provide names of clients, general counsel and managing partners that have given us prior approval to be used as references upon request.
