Michael Higginbotham is a uniquely experienced trial lawyer who has focused his career on representing owners, architects, and engineers in all aspects of construction litigation. Mr. Higginbotham studied structural engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and U.C. Berkeley Structural Engineering Master’s Programs as well as at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Branch School. He brings to his work as a trial lawyer an insider’s understanding of the technical aspects of each case as well as a exceptional ability to interface with clients, witnesses and experts.

Mr. Higginbotham’s recent experience includes litigation arising from California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation prison projects, California Department of Water Resources hydroelectric, pipeline and tunneling projects, water and wastewater treatment facilities, environmental claims, as well as complex direct cost, delay, and loss of productivity claims arising from OSHPD hospital construction and DSA school construction. Mr. Higginbotham is the past chair of the Professional Practices Committee of SEAONC.
